Numerous propane tanks were reported stolen from Dollar General in the 8000 block of East Andrew Johnson Highway on Friday.
The manager reported to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department that she discovered someone had cut the lock on the propane bin outside the store and stole all the tanks inside. The manager said the tanks were there when the store closed on Thursday night.
A total of 18 tanks were stolen, totaling $1,200.
