A man was arrested for tampering with evidence Sunday on West Irish Street after police were called due to him trespassing on a property.
The man, Cody Buckner of Midway, reportedly trespassed the property about 4 PM and asked someone for a lighter. After letting Buckner use a lighter he pulled out a glass pipe. At that time he was asked to leave immediately and the police were called. After police arrived they found him about 100 yards from the home and he approached the patrol car.
According to the report, when he approached the hood of the car he stopped and threw something on the road. He later admitted it was a glass pipe. A K9 was called to the scene but the K9 was unable to locate the pipe. Buckner was arrested with Fabricating/Tampering With Evidence.
