Monday marks the 73rd edition of the Greene County Fair, which showcases agriculture through livestock shows, crafts, and local talents; as well as carnival rides, games, food, and countless exhibits.
The Greene County Fair opens its gates at 4:00 PM on Monday. The Carnival area will open at 5:00 PM. Admission is $8 for those 12 and older and $5 for children ages 6-11. Children 5 and younger are free. A season pass is $35.
On Monday, senior citizens over the age of 60 and veterans will be admitted for $4. Attendees will also receive free admission with a blood donation to MEDIC on Monday.
Pay-one-price armbands for unlimited carnival rides are $20 today through Friday and $25 on Saturday. Those armbands are purchased on the midway, not at the gates.
Monday’s schedule includes tractor pulls at 7:00 PM. at the Jim Saulsbury Motorsports Arena. There is also a mullet contest and a hay bale decorating contest. The annual Fairest of the Fair competition begins at 8:00 PM at the Tri-Am RV Main Stage. Jay Davis performs at 8:00 PM as well on the Greeneville Federal Expo Stage.
Tuesday’s schedule includes the Baby Show at 6:00 PM, and the Little Miss & Junior Miss Fairest of the Fair competitions at 6:30 PM. Scheduled is also the Burger Battle, and a corn bag toss tournament. Bless’d Ministries will perform at 8:00 PM on the Greeneville Federal Expo Stage.
