A former Greene County woman was killed in a shooting in Hamblen County on Saturday.
The Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office says that Mickey Wykle Barbely was shot and killed by her husband, Charles Barbely. Mr. Barbely was charged with first-degree murder and denied bond after reportedly confessing to dispatchers shortly after the shooting.
Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home will be in charge of the local arrangements.
