A man from Greeneville was arrested yesterday morning after he was seen by deputies with a truck that had a stolen license plate.
The man was seen on Tusculum Boulevard and went into McDonald’s. According to the report, he took off jogging shortly after toward Arby’s, when a deputy caught up to him. The suspect, Cecil R. Greer, had an active warrant and was placed into custody.
While searching the suspect, a small glass container was found with a crystal like substance in it as well as another tag that was not reported stolen. The suspect was arrested for a Child Support Warrant, Possession of Schedule 2, Driving On Revoked 1st, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Stolen Property, and Evading Arrest.
Both license plates were turned into evidence as well as paraphernalia and narcotics.
