Deputies responded to vandalism on Warrensburg Road yesterday morning and arrested a woman who was drunk and later caused damage to their patrol vehicle.
The woman, Cheyenne Fontenot of Midway, was reportedly irate due to being drunk. According to the report, she is under 21, so deputies detained her. As she was being transported to the jail she began destroying the inside of the deputies patrol car by allegedly jerking wires down and chewing them in half. She was also jerking on the door panel and attempted to beat out the windows.
The deputy had to pull over and deploy his pepper spray. Damage to the patrol car was estimated at $1,400.
