Greeneville Energy Authority board members Thursday dealt with several items related to the GEA Connect broadband implemented almost a year ago.
Director of Broadband Services Phil Bradley update the board on the broadband network, which as of December 17th, had 1,091 customers, 947 residential and 144 business.
Bradley added that 70 of the customers currently use the phone service.
By unanimous voice vote, the board set phone rates at $20 per month for residential customers and $30 per month for business customers, which does include long distance, and will allow new customers to keep their current phone number.
