A Georgia man was arrested for Driving Under The Influence on Saturday after he drove onto a residence on the Newport Highway and passed out behind the wheel.
Justin Scott Comeaux was found by a deputy about 8 PM Saturday sitting in the drivers seat asleep. When he woke up he was reportedly very disoriented and incoherent with slurred speech. The suspect thought he was in North Carolina and told the deputy he had taken pain medication and was prescribed Xanax.
After a search was conducted, a pipe was found in his pocket and he was detained. According to the report, the vehicle was searched and inside were multiple prescription drugs for Alprazolam, Adderall, and Buprenorphine-Naloxone along with a vape pen believed to be filled with liquid marijuana. The suspect was transported to the Greene County Detention Center.
