A trial has been set for juveniles involved in a fatal shooting last October 30th.
The juvenile’s attorney’s requested to waive arraignment for the defendants, who were scheduled to be in Criminal Court Friday before Judge John F. Dugger Jr. An attorney mentioned they were waiving arraignment due to all defendants being under 18 and the jail having to go on lock down, in order to bring the defendants into the courtroom. One juvenile is being held in Knox County.
The 3 juveniles have charges including First Degree Murder after the death of 22 year-old Juan Tauscher of the Old Asheville Highway. The trial has been set for January 2024 with a pre-trial conference to be held in July.
