A woman from Newport Highway in Greeneville reported identity theft yesterday evening.
The victim spoke with deputies from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department and stated she received an email that a charge was made on her credit card. After speaking with the card company Capital One, she was told an application was submitted with her information but had a different address listed.
According to the report, the company refused to release information on the address and no suspects are known at the time.
