A Church Hill man was arrested Wednesday morning after he allegedly attempted to cover up the removal of merchandise from Lowe’s on the East Andrew Johnson Highway.
Greeneville police were called around 11:45 Wednesday morning and learned that 33-year-old Corey Harrison had come into the store and placed more than $1,600 in tools, clothing and hats on a flat cart, which he then covered with grass seed in an attempt to conceal.
During his arrest, the Kingsport Police Department confirmed that Harrison had active warrants for burglary. Harrison, who had been banned from Lowe’s in March, consented to a search of his vehicle in which items he had stolen from another Lowe’s were found. Also found was a black bag that contained suspected heroin along with syringes, cut straws and baggies.
Harrison is charged with burglary, possession of a schedule 1 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia and is in custody at the Greene County Detention Center.
