Two were arrested yesterday for motor vehicle theft after they were assisting two residents around their house and transporting them to and from doctor visits.
The suspects Jessica Napier and Wendy Clark were assisting the victims and according to the report, stole the vehicle last week. The victim told deputies on April 5th the suspects arrived and were loading up the vehicle with items and left. The victim tried contacting them and asked them to return the vehicle, but they refused.
The stolen vehicle is equipped with OnStar System, which has an engine blocker option installed that allows the owner to block the engine from being able to start. Deputies spoke with OnStar and confirmed the vehicle location at Andrew Johnson Inn. It was piled with items including clothing and a cat was also inside.
Both suspects were found and stated the owners allowed them to use the vehicle and drove it for a year. They were both arrested and transported to the Greene County Detention Center for booking.
