A lawn mower that caught fire Saturday damaged an Afton home.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 200 block of Rock Quarry Road around 2:45 PM. A witness said he came to the property to get a vehicle and lawnmower that belongs to the victim. Upon trying to start the lawnmower, it caught fire. The fire from the mower burnt the siding of a mobile home on the property.
The mower, valued at $800, was destroyed. The residence sustained minor damage.
