A home at 4900 Cedar Creek Road was damaged by fire on Saturday afternoon.
A deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene around 1:00 PM. A resident of the home said she went out in her Mule side-by-side vehicle to burn some trash, but was unable to get it started.
The victim took the Mule and the trash back to the residence. A short time later, she smelled something burning and looked to see the home and side-by-side on fire.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, but the home and side-by-side sustained damaged.
