A man was injured Sunday afternoon during a motorcycle accident on South Mckee Street and was taken to the Johnson City Medical Center.
According to the Greeneville Police Department report, the driver Alex Lara was traveling on the 600 block of South Mckee Street when he drove off the right side of the roadway and struck three mailboxes before coming to a final stop. Lara did receive injuries during the crash, which the report states was a suspected major injury. He was transported to the hospital by EMS.
According to a video footage from a witness, it appeared Lara was driving at a high rate of speed before he wrecked. The report states he drove reckless and was negligent. Lara reportedly did not have a license or proof of insurance. No charges were listed in the report.
