A man was arrested with 3 counts of aggravated domestic assault and 1 count of felony reckless endangerment, after a complainant called to report someone shooting outside her home on Lauderdale Road.
The victim spoke with Greene County Sheriff’s Department Friday night after asking the suspect to stop shooting, due to her kids being home and fearing the shots were too close to them. The suspect, Daniel Snipes of Newport Highway, was already gone when deputies arrived and could not be located.
According to the report, there were holes in the kids’ bedroom wall and closet door, which were later confirmed to be bullet holes. Shots were also fired at the victim’s vehicle on the passenger side. At about 4 AM the next day Saturday, dispatch was notified that Snipes was back at his home. Witnesses stated they heard more shots fired from Snipes that morning as well as the night before. He was arrested once deputies arrived.
