A woman arrested Saturday for drug violations, has received additional charges after an object was seen inside her body during a scan.
The suspect Crystal Carter of Cox Road, was detained on West Summer Street and arrested. After being transported to the dentention center she was scanned and dry celled for having a potential package inside her body. A correction officer tried to search but Carter pulled away and ran towards the bathroom. She was seen attempting to put something in her mouth at that time and tried to swallow it.
After being restrained the package was removed from her mouth and meth was found inside. Inside another package, were multiple bags containing 26 green pills identified as clonazepam, a pill used to treat seizures and panic disorder. She was given several charges including sell manufacturing and delivery of schedule 2 (meth) and tampering with evidence.
