A hired contractor reportedly failed to finish a job he was paid to complete at a Warrensburg Road residence.
The two residents of the home reported to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday that they hired the contractor to build an additional living area to their house. The two paid him a starting labor of $9,000 and had an unofficial contract signed.
The suspect then started requesting more money.
The victims told the suspect he was not getting any more money and he never came back to finish the job. They then sent an official letter to the suspect demanding he pay them back, but have not received any money, supplies, or messages from him.
The investigation is continuing.
