The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development reported this afternoon that Greene County’s unemployment rate for November was 4.2 percent, up from 4.0 percent in October.
Greene County’s rate a year ago was 3.2 percent.
The unemployment rate for November 2022 decreased in 62 Tennessee counties, increased in eight counties, and remained the same in 25 counties. Only three counties in the state had unemployment rates above 5 percent.
Williamson, Moore and Cheatham counties all had the lowest rates in the state at 2.5 percent. Bledsoe had the highest rate in the state at 5.3 percent.
The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for November was 3.5 percent, unchanged from the October rate.
