The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for portions of East Tennessee.
Rain will spread across the area today and tonight, and some of the rain may be moderate to heavy at times. Localized flooding will be possible, mainly across the southern and central portions of east Tennessee. Rainfall totals today are expected to be between a quarter and half an inch.
There will be several rounds of rainfall in the Tuesday through Friday period. Rainfall totals through Friday are expected to be 2 to 3 inches for most of the county, although some areas may just have 1.5 to 2 inches. Localized flooding of low lying areas is possible. No current watches have been issued by the National Weather Service in Morristown, but that is subject to change.
