The second of two recent Naloxone Box installations and ribbon cuttings locally was held Wednesday at Community Pharmacy in Greeneville.
The Greene County Antidrug Coalition has partnered with Action Coalitions/Action Recovery Resource Center to increase access to naloxone, the medication that can reverse opioid overdoses and save lives.
Brooke Bombailey is the Regional Naloxone Distribution Coordinator out of the Action Recovery Resource Center in Mountain City.
Representatives of both groups attended the event at the pharmacy next to Greeneville Community Hospital on Tusculum Boulevard. While the box was installed on the exterior wall of the Baileyton Town Hall in a similar ceremony last month, the one installed Wednesday is located next to the Boulevard near the pharmacy entrance.

The Action Recovery Resource Center based in Mountain City will supply and maintain the boxes at no cost, ensuring ongoing free access to Naloxone for community members.
In conjunction with Ballad Health, Naloxone will be available at no cost and access to anyone in need. The boxes are placed in public locations for emergency use, helping ensure life-saving medication is readily available when it matters most.

The boxes will be fully stocked and maintained, giving everyone access to Naloxone when it matters most.

This partnership supports ongoing overdose prevention, efforts and aims to reduce overdose deaths while strengthening recovery resources across northeast Tennessee.
