Mitzi J. Wilhiot, 82, of Greeneville, passed away Monday morning, Oct. 19, 2026, at Greeneville Community Hospital.
Mitzi was a partner in the former Doyle’s Furniture and Fabric and worked at Droke’s Shoe Store. She was a member of Towering Oaks Baptist Church and a member of Bonnie Nance’s Sunday School class, known to some as “Bonnie’s Beauties.” Mitzi enjoyed playing canasta and bunco with her friends.
Survivors include her children, Doug (Missy) Bible, Lilly Krebs and Doyle (Jennifer) Tunnell; grandchildren, Trey Tunnell, Seth Bible, Carrington Bible, Thomas Tunnell, Braxton Bible and A.J. Krebs; great-grandchildren, Rollin Tunnell, Kylen Tunnell and Haven Barner; one sister, Wanda Greene; one nephew and three nieces; and numerous special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ketron Tunnell and Jerry Wilhoit; son, Darwin Bible; stepdaughter, Michan Tunnell Malone; and two brothers, the Rev. Bobby Greene and Charles Greene.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel. The Rev. Dennis Shumate will officiate. Burial will follow in Hermon Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
