One person was flown from the scene of a head on collision Friday night on the Newport Highway.
Highlands Air Rescue was called to the scene of the accident that happened just before 10pm near the Kiser Loop intersection in the 7500 block of the Newport Highway.
The Caney Branch Volunteer Fire Department, Greeneville Emergency & Rescue Squad, Greene County Sheriff’s Department, EMS, and Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
The Newport Highway was closed for over an hour while responders worked the scene.
