The Greeneville City Council and additional Greeneville leaders will meet to set a direction for the future at a forum on Friday, November 10th, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Clyde Austin 4H Center at 214 4-H Lane, Greeneville. This is an open public meeting, and the public is invited to attend.
City Manager Todd Smith said in his invitation to local leaders, “It goes without saying that Greeneville has seen significant changes over the last few years. Business growth, residential development, downtown improvements, and other changes have positioned our community to consider: what is next? Growth is happening in Greeneville, and we should ask ourselves: do we manage the growth or does growth manage us?”
The format will include a discussion with leaders from Maryville/Blount County, Tennessee to learn from their growth experiences. The discussion will include lessons learned from Maryville, and how those lessons can apply in Greeneville. The last part of the session will define the future vision and framework for how to lead in times of dynamic growth.
