The Greeneville Municipal Airport Authority Wednesday accepted the bid for construction of a 100 by 60-foot hanger on the airport property.
The low bid of just over $1.1 million dollars from JAVE LLC, based in Kentucky. Construction is scheduled to being as soon as possible by the contractor, with an approximate four-month window for completion.
Airport Authority members were updated on potential insurance and retirement options for airport employees. The airport had fallen under the city insurance but is now considering small group plans. A workshop is scheduled for Monday, September 29th at 4 pm in the G. Thomas Love Boardroom at the Greeneville Energy Authority building to discuss options.
UPCOMING EVENTS
The annual “Wings and Wheels” fly-in and car show will take place Saturday, September 27th at the airport from 10 am until 2 pm.
Also the Civil Air Patrol annual fundraising “5K On The Runway” event will be Saturday, November 8th from 9 until 11:30 am.
