Crews with Summers-Taylor will begin work on a pavement resurfacing project next week.
Work will begin Tuesday, October 21 with the first step that consists of milling sections of three roads. Wednesday, October 22 crews will be paving a segment (0.64 miles) of Erwin Highway from 11-E to the Greeneville and Tusculum city-limit line. When this section is complete, they will move paving operations to a 1.92-mile segment of Old Shiloh Road from Old Tusculum Road to Shiloh Road. Next, work will move to East Church Street to pave 1.2 miles between Bernard and Buckingham Drive, near Stratford Drive.
All three roads are anticipated to be paved within two weeks, weather permitting. Flagging operations will occur at all locations, with no closures anticipated.
After the paving is complete, permanent striping will be installed.
