A man wanted on outstanding warrants was taken into custody Friday and was additionally charged after he was found in possession of a stolen gun.
John R. Jeffries was found hiding under a porch near his residence on Carpenters Chapel Road and taken into custody for outstanding warrants the Mosheim Police Department had taken out for his arrest.
A bag he was carrying had five grams of marijuana and a .22 caliber revolver that had been reported stolen from another residence on Carpenters Chapel Road.
Jeffries was charged with the unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon and simple possession of a schedule 6 drug.
