The County Fire Inspector and Greene County Sheriff’s Department are investigating an early morning fire Sunday on Middle Creek Road.
In her report, Deputy Janetha Gregory says the Tusculum Volunteer Fire Department responded to a 9-1-1 call around 7:15 am. Upon arrival, they found the fire, which involved a vehicle and tires.

(PHOTO FROM TUSCULUM VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT)Investigation revealed the 2000 Ford Mustang belonged to Robert Duncan of Chestnut Ridge Road in Afton, about a half mile from the fire scene. Those living at the Chestnut Ridge Road residence reported hearing noise outside around 5:30 and again at 6:30 am.
Tusculum firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before it could spread further.
