MORRISTOWN, Tenn. — The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) invites new and aspiring hunters to attend a free Introduction to Waterfowl Hunting class on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lick Creek Bottoms WMA in Mohawk.
This hands-on course is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed for a successful waterfowl hunting experience. Topics will include:
Waterfowl identification
Basic biology and migration patterns
Bag limits and hunting regulations
Scouting and hunting strategies
Decoy placement and calling techniques
Dog handling and retrieving
Gear selection and more
The class is free for anyone with a valid Tennessee small game hunting and fishing license. A complimentary lunch will also be provided.
