Keep Greene Beautiful (KGB), in partnership with Broyles General Store & Emporium, is celebrating the creativity and community spirit of Greene County with Special Editions of Yard of the Month and the inaugural Greene County Hay Bale Trail this fall.
Special Editions of Yard of the Month invite residents to nominate their own yard—or a neighbor’s—for recognition in three seasonal categories:
  • Halloween Special: Oct. 1–19, winner announced Oct. 20
  • Fall Special: Oct. 20–Nov. 19, winner announced Nov. 20
  • Holiday Special: Nov. 20–Dec. 18, winner announced Dec. 19
The nomination form and judging rubric can be found at: www.greenecountypartnership.com/kgb.
In addition, the Greene County Hay Bale Trail will feature creative and festive hay bale displays at locations throughout the county.
  • Map of locations available: Monday, Oct. 13 on KGB’s Facebook page and website, and hardcopies will be at the Greene County Partnership
  • Viewing dates: Oct. 15–Nov. 15
“These seasonal editions of Yard of the Month and the Hay Bale Trail are wonderful ways to showcase the pride, creativity, and community spirit of Greene County residents,” said Jessie Beth Miller, Director of Keep Greene Beautiful. “We encourage families and friends to explore the trail, enjoy the decorated yards, and share in the festive fun.”
Participants are encouraged to take photos, share their favorite Hay Bale displays, and use the hashtag #HayKGB on social media.
For more information or questions, visit www.greenecountypartnership.com/kgb or contact Keep Greene Beautiful at [email protected] or 423-638-4111.
