The Greene County Clerk’s Office continues to operate out of the North Cutler Street location until the official move to the former Takoma Hospital location either later this month or in October.
County Clerk Lori Bryant says in anticipation of the move earlier, she had contacted the State of Tennessee Department of Revenue Vehicle Services to make them aware of the move. The new address at 401 Takoma Avenue was printed as the new location on the renewal registration cards. After the cards were mailed out, the Greene County Clerk’s Office move date was changed to September 15 due to the installation delay for the emergency responder radio and the installation of signs in the Greene County Administration Center. This process has to be completed before the state will issue a certificate of occupancy.
Bryant said some citizens are going to the new location on Takoma Avenue for their registration renewals, due to receiving notices with the new address. However, those needing services at the County Clerk’s Office still need to come to the location at 204 North Cutler Street, Suite 200 until further notice.
Bryant said she will be contacting the State of Tennessee Department of Revenue Vehicle Services for them to print the current North Cutler Street address on the October registration renewal cards.
