New Greene County Director of Schools Dr. Chris Malone has signed a four year contract for his first term as Director.
The contract, with a base salary of $135,000 per year, officially begins July 1st, the first day of the new fiscal year.
Malone initially served as interim director after replacing David McLain in February. The interim tag was removed later that month. He had served under the interim contract terms since that time.
School Board Chair Rick Tipton says the pay is the same as McLain was making when he retired.
