The Greeneville Water Commission has updated sewar rehab plans for the week in downtown.
Travis Woolsey reports contractors are expected to finish work today between West McKee Street and Depot Street on North Main. Beginning Tuesday, traffic control will be moved to close the section of North Main Street from W. Church Street to Spencer Street.
Project Overview:
Sewer rehabilitation work will begin at the intersection of W. McKee Street, progressing north toward W. Church Street and continuing in sections toward the bypass. This next phase is expected to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
Thru traffic will not be permitted during this time.
Residents and business patrons will maintain access to properties within the work zone.
Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.

Work will progress in sections to minimize disruptions.
The contractor will make every effort to complete the work as quickly as possible.
