With the announced retirement of Lindy Riley from the board on Tuesday, the Town of Greeneville is currently seeking qualified applicants to serve on the Greeneville Municipal Planning Commission.
This commission plays an instrumental role in guiding the future growth and development of our community by reviewing and making recommendations on zoning, land use and development matters.
Preferred qualifications include experience in planning, development, construction, engineering, real estate, and/or related fields. A demonstrated interest in public service and community development along with a commitment to attend regular monthly meetings and occasional special sessions.
Applicants must be residents within the Town of Greeneville. Submit a completed board/commission application by Friday, June 27, 2025. Applications are available on the Town’s website: greenevilletn.gov under “I Want To,” then choose from the drop-down menu “Serve on Boards/Commission.”
Mayor Doty will review all applicants and make his appointment based on experience and qualifications.
The Greeneville Municipal Planning Commission meets on the second Tuesday every month at 9:30 am in the G. Thomas Love Board Room located inside the Greeneville Energy Authority headquarters.
