The Blue Springs Historical Association will be hosting a program about antique furniture collecting.
Steve Ottinger, a Greene County native and forty year antique collector, will be speaking. Ottinger will be sharing stories about famous Greene County furniture, the cabinet makers, early collectors. Ottinger will also share his knowledge on how to identify antiques, including what to look for and how to collect antiques. Ottinger specializes in Greene County furniture made from the late 1700s to the mid 1800s.
The program will be on May 10, 2025, at the Blue Springs Church at 902 Main Street in Mosheim. The present church building was erected in 1893 and was used as a church until the fall of 2015. It is the only building in Mosheim listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
