Burning brush is thought to be the cause of a house fire on Dulaney road on Friday just after 1:00PM.
Volunteers with Mosheim, Town of Mosheim, Orebank, and Debusk fire department responded to what was initially a brush fire.
When fire fighters arrived at the scene the wind had pushed the flames into an outbuilding. The fire then spread to the main structure which was heavily damaged.
The occupants of the home were able to escape unharmed, and firemen were able to save three dogs that were in the house.
Fire fighters were able to draft water from a nearby creek and keep the fire from spreading into a nearby field.
The Greene County Sheriffs Department, EMS, and Greeneville Energy Authority also responded.
