Greeneville Greene County EMA Director Heather Sipe says a test of the Greene County SMART911 Alert System will be conducted today through Greene County 911
The test will be at 11:30 am for those who have registered for the service.
If you have registered for this service & you DO NOT receive the TEST ALERT, please check your smart phone settings to ensure they are set to receive.
If you feel that the settings are correct and/or you need assistance, please contact the Greene County Office of Emergency Management at (423) 798-1729, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
If you have a LAND LINE & did not receive the TEST ALERT, please call the Non-Emergency Number (423) 638-8663 , for Greene County 911 and pick Option1 for the Administrative Offices.
They can assist you with adding your land line to the system.
These TESTS will be done quarterly ( every 3 months).
As we are doing here, the community will be notified ahead of the TEST DATE.
