Scooter’s Coffee customers will soon be able to “scoot on around” again.
The Greeneville location, which opened last year but closed a few months later—reportedly due to financial issues with the previous franchise owner—is set to reopen under new ownership.
Scooter’s Coffee corporate office approached the owner of the Kingsport franchise about taking over the Greeneville location, and he agreed. He is also in the process of building another Scooter’s location in Bristol.
Town Planning Administrator Randy Davenport announced the reopening during the Greeneville Regional Planning Commission meeting Tuesday morning.
An exact reopening date has not been set. The store is located on East Andrew Johnson Highway at Bob Smith Boulevard, across from Justice Drive, at the former Long John Silver’s site.
