The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Greene County and surrounding areas from Tuesday afternoon through Thursday morning.
Three rounds of weather are expected to impact the area through the weekend. The first system is expected to reach the area sometime Tuesday afternoon with 1 to 3 inches of rain.
The second system is set to bring another 1 to 3 inches of rainfall throughout Wednesday night and into Thursday morning, The third storm system could more heavy rain Saturday into Sunday.
The current flood watch goes into effect Tuesday through Thursday morning. The NWS warns of the heavy rains resulting in excessive runoff that could cause the flooding of rivers, creeks, and other flood-prone locations.
