Fire destroyed a truck on the Horton Higway Friday afternoon.
Shortly before 5 pm , the owner was driving in the 1800 block of Horton Highway when he noticed flames coming from the dash.
He reported he was able to slow down and jump from the vehicle, which then ran into a ditch. The man was not injured.
The 2005 Nissan Frontier, valued at $4700, was fully engulfed in flames when Greene County Deputy Janetha Gregory arrived.
Units from the United and Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Departments also responded.
