One person was injured in a Noon hour crash Tuesday on East Andrew Johnson Highway at the South Rufe Taylor Road intersection.
According to a Greeneville Police Department report, Richard L. Doud was injured when his Ford pickup struck a car operated by Patricia H. Gibson.
According to witnesses, Gibson was turning left on East AJ from South Rufe Taylor when Doud ran a red light and collided with her Subaru Forester. Doud’s truck then flipped and landed on its top.
Doud was trapped in his vehicle until emergency responders were able to extricate him.
Doud was transported by Greeneville/Greene County EMS to the Johnson City Medical Center with what the report indicated were serious injuries. Gibson was checked at the scene by EMS.
