The Greene County Partnership Foundation has awarded 11 grants to businesses in Greene County that lost revenue due to the events surrounding Hurricane Helene. The grants will assist in recovering the revenue lost mainly due to the widespread water outage.
“We are happy to assist our community through these grants. Losing a week or more of revenue due to closures, flooding and water outages is devastating for small businesses. It is the role of the GCP and the GCP Foundation to support and help our business community the best we can through making connections and sharing resources,” said Jeff Taylor, President and CEO of the Greene County Partnership.
Applications were accepted the weeks following Hurricane Helene, and an independent selection committee chose the recipients.
