The Office of Emergency Management would like to inform the community that any debris found in the Nolichuckey River needs to be reported to the office.
This includes appliances, large containers and vehicles, and information will be sent to the proper authorities to be checked and addressed for removal. No one should be in the river attempting to remove debris.
EMA Director Heather Sipe stresses that dangers still exist due to the recent flooding disaster, and that there are many safety hazards along with potential health repercussions from water contamination. All members of the community are urged to stay out of the river.
Anyone who wishes to report debris in the river can call the Office of Emergency Management at 798-1729.
