A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for portions of the East Tennessee Mountains, including Southeast Greene County, from 7 PM Thursday until 10 AM Friday.
Total snow accumulation of 1-3 inches is expected across the higher elevations.
According to Greeneville/Greene County EMA Director Heather Sipe, the latest update from the National Weather Service this afternoon shows the lower elevations in Greene County possibly receiving 1-2 inches of snow through early Friday morning.
Gusty winds are expected across the area as well. There are currently no wind advisories, but that could change. Cold wind chills are anticipated Thursday and Friday morning. The National Weather Service anticipates wind chills in the lower 20s on Thursday morning.
