Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett spoke to Radio Greeneville on Tuesday about the upcoming Presidential election and encouraged all registered voters to exercise that right. Through the first six days of early voting, over 8,000 have turned out to vote in Greene County.
Hargett said that the floods have affected some of the voting locations in neighboring counties and some polling locations in areas that were hard hit may have to be relocated, but that every effort is being made to ensure everyone has the chance to vote.
Hargett also credited Greene County Administer of Elections Justin Reaves with his outstanding work here, and recounted a conversation he had about a Greene County poll worker.
Tre Hargett Voicer: “Well, Justin is great, and I’ll tell you one of the most heartwarming stories . . .” :38 seconds. Listen below.
