A man is facing charges after reportedly fleeing from police on Thursday night and driving into North Carolina.
The Greeneville Police Department initiated a traffic stop around 10:15 PM at East Vann Road and Crescent Drive on a gray Mazda. The driver was reportedly known to be Gary Roberts Jr.
Roberts allegedly failed to stop for police, passing several cars on double-lined roads and nearly striking multiple vehicles head on.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department became involved in the pursuit as well. According to the report, deputies terminated the pursuit when it entered North Carolina. Warrants were taken out for Roberts for felony evading arrest and felony reckless endangerment.
