Members of the 101st Airborne Division have arrived and area basing in Greeneville to provide help for the region devastated by floods.
Western North Carolina was one of the hardest hit areas, and Greene County can be used as a staging area for supplies. On Sunday, several Black Hawk and Chinook helicopters lined the apron of the airport. Chinooks are distinctive with their two rotors. They are also capable of lifting nearly ten tons of cargo.
