The Budget and Finance Committee will meet at 8:30 AM this morning at the Greene County Annex Conference Room at the Annex.
The agenda includes a resolution to authorize funds from the Animal Control Vaccination Restricted fund to purchase a truck and corresponding equipment for the department. The Animal Control Department collects $2 for each cat and dog vaccinated in Greene County and sets it aside to pay for capital expenditures. The funds would be used for the truck purchase and should not exceed $65,000.
The committee will consider appropriating $69,710 from the Opioid Settlement Funds restricted for the use set forth by the Opioid Abatement Council. If approved, the funds will be distributed to the Greene County Drug Court and Law Enforcement LEADS program. About $62,000 would go toward Drug Court and about $7,500 would go to Law Enforcement.
Additionally, the committee will consider appropriating $58,000 for the purchase of a billing and charting system for Emergency Medical Services.
The meeting will be held at 204 North Cutler Street.
