A Greeneville man was arrested after wrecking his vehicle Saturday night.
The Mosheim Police Department responded to the report of an accident with injuries on West Andrew Johnson Highway near Gap Creek Road. A Toyota Tacoma had gone down an embankment and was on its top. The driver, Zamora Dario of Pioneer Lane, was sitting on the side of the road at the crash scene with minor cuts to his head and leg. Witnesses said Dario had driven for a distance without the headlights on and was weaving on the roadway prior to crashing. Greene County EMS cleared him at the scene.
According to the report, Dario admitted to drinking and performed poorly on a field sobriety test. He was transported to the Greene County Detention Center, where he refused a blood draw and a search warrant was obtained. Dario was charged with DUI, driving without a license and violation of the implied consent law.
