Two people were taken to the hospital on Monday afternoon following an accident on the 11E near Twin Barnes Road.
According to the report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2011 Nissan driven by 60-year-old Paul Holt was traveling north on the 11E around 12 PM. A 2003 Chevrolet driven by 70-year-old Michael Buchanan attempted to turn onto Twin Barns Road from the 11E. Buchanan had to cross a median and travel lanes to get onto Twin Barnes Road.
Once Buchanan entered the lanes, Holt reportedly struck his car on the side. Holt and a passenger in his vehicle, 36-year-old Tracy Story, were injured in the wreck and taken to the hospital. The report states charges are pending for Buchanan, depending on the outcome of the investigation.
